"UNDERVALUED PRIVILEGES" is a work that marks an important point in Aj Roi's career: it is in fact the first to connect two halves of two road signs.
 

 
Since the beginning of his career, the artist has created high-impact artworks reinterpreting individual road signs. After that, two years later, he made two works ("VIETNAM WAR" and "SLAVERY") composed of two road sign each.
 
However, it is in the autumn of 2024  Aj Roi tried something new: instead of using an entire road sign he used only a part of it; this is the case of "FÖRA DI BALL GIALLO (DX)" and "MINIMAL CRIB".
 

 
With the work in question, composed of two right halves of two real school bus signs (held together by panels fixed on the back), the young artist compares two opposite realities: on the left side we see the child running with the briefcase in his hand (just like the original pictogram); while on the right side, Aj Roi intervened with acrylic and a permanent marker to leave us the image of a child running holding a rifle.
 

 
The intrinsic objective of this creation is to inspire reflection on how, sometimes, we give little value to some opportunities we have, not thinking that other people in other parts of the world do not have the same luck.
 
In Aj Roi's initial imagination, the comparison is between a child who has the possibility of enjoying an education, and one who has this privilege replaced by the obligation to fight. However, the concept touches on many other points and also extends to other situations.
 

 
To underline the difference between the comfort of one and the adverse conditions of the other, the artist created the first half from an almost intact sign; and the second half from one scratched and partially faded by the sun.
 

 
In addition to having covered - with an orange acrylic - the briefcase and part of the arm, and having added the outline of an assault rifle, the artist personally fired three shots at the right half with the famous Kalashnikov AK-47.
 
The rifle in question, 7.62 caliber, is the most widespread weapon on the planet, used in thousands of conflicts by countless armies as well as by criminal, terrorist and guerrilla organizations; and it is no coincidence that it is also the weapon that the artist chose to depict in the child's hand.
 
The sharp and very fast full metal jacket bullets pierced the aluminum of the road sign like butter, leaving an inimitable deformation around the hole that only a real firearm is capable of imparting.
 

 
Bullet holes are a distinctive element that we find in many of Aj Roi's works; an element capable of adding incredible strength to the message launched.
