While the phrase on the artwork in question may seem immediate to Milanese residents, for everyone else, a little translation might be in order: "VA' A DA' VIA EL CU" literally means "GO GIVE AWAY YOUR ASS."
Aj Roi created a small, yet significant, tribute to the city where he spent part of his life, having a real street sign made with the name of a fictional street ("Via El Cu"), followed by "VA' A DA'" (handwritten by him), thus completing the famous insult in Milanese dialect (often said jokingly in friendship).
To make it unique, and to accentuate the difference from "VIA I CIAPP" (created around the same time), the artist abraded, scratched, and dented the sign, giving it a more worn look.
A piece of street art, conceived and created in 2024, which in its simplicity and spontaneity is capable of putting a smile on everyone's face.
