This artwork is the first (along with "FÖRA DI BALL GIALLO (DX)", created around the same time) to use not an entire road sign, but rather a portion of one.
"MINIMAL CRIB" is in fact created with the ending of a real extra-urban road sign, which the artist found already cut among some scrap metal and decided to bring back to life, seeing the tip of the arrow as the nativity scene.


Aj Roi then further shortened the sign segment and depicted Joseph, Mary, and baby Jesus, represented respectively with the pictograms for "men's restroom," "women's restroom," and "changing table."


The artist then added Baby Jesus's halo made of genuine 24k gold, guaranteed to be over 99.9% pure, to baby Jesus.
