Painted on a real road sign for "wild animals," this work, inspired by cave paintings, depicts a hunting scene, in which men armed with bows and arrows kill a deer.
With its simple drawings -typical of cave paintings, road signs, and Aj Roi's style- this work aims to provoke reflection on hunting and meat consumption in general.
Although Aj Roi eats meat, he finds it sad to "have" to live at the expense of other animals. "Have" is placed in quotation marks because it is possible to survive without meat, even though meat is an important source of protein and other nutrients.
In the context of the exhibition "NOT A WONDERFUL WORLD," this work is displayed alongside "IGNORANDO," to contrast the two situations of life and death for animals.
