Aj Roi has given a new meaning to the italian "court" street sign, erasing the word "LEX" and depicting a single man on the left scale and a group of men on the right.


The work aims to raise awareness on the ethics of placing one's own interests above those of others.


The artist, a supporter of Pareto improvement, sees nothing wrong with prioritizing one's own interests when this doesn't affect those of another; "the problem," he says, "is when the interests of an individual harm those of another individual or even a group."


This work summarizes the root of all (or almost all) of the world's evil, and thus of the works in the exhibition "NOT A WONDERFUL WORLD."


Thieves who take -through force, violence, or deceit- the property of those who earned it. Heads of State who, for their own interests, send their fellow citizens to their deaths. People who steal other people's lands and resources. Unscrupulous people who, for the sake of enriching themselves, destroy the planet.
